Ogilvy: David Ogilvy’s Centenary #DO100
On June 23 next week David Ogilvy would be celebrating his 100th Birthday. As part of the celebrations to honour the life of "The Father of Advertising" Ogilvy has created a simple website where anyone can change their twitter avatar red, and encourages people to answer the question “What inspires you?” with the hash tag #DO100
Go to http://do100.ogilvy.com/ to try it out for yourself and see how others have answered.

Uncle: In Game Recruitment
Innovative digital recruitment work from Uncle, Denmark. In order to find a new programmer for the agency they hired the top Team Fortress 2 game players and got them to recruit people for the job live in the online fighting game. To see how they did see the clip above.

Stimorol: Heart Gingers Campaign
So proud that I managed to get a chance to help a little with this campaign when I first moved to Ogilvy last year. The great chaps behind it had the idea after Stimorol gum asked for us to distribute 40,000 packs of Orange Mint samples in a way that would leverage their brand, give them great exposure and create a memorable stunt. Click on the above case study video to see what they did.

Peugeot: Air Bag Print ad
Fun work by Agency Loducca, Brazil, for Peugeot’s new 408 car. To show off the cars new 6 airbag Safety system the agency shipped in 50,000 pressure activated mini airbags from China, and placed them in Brazils top business magazine Exame. The magazines were sent out in secure packing and the air bag ads were activated when people were prompted to hit the magazine. Simple, yet impactful.
Westpac: Impulse Saver (Rory Sutherland)
After listening to one of Ogilvy London’s very own Rory Sutherland’s Ted talks (Watch it here) BBDO created the impulse saver app for Westpac Bank. The idea was to make saving money simple by creating a device/app that has a button that when pressed automatically saves X amount of money into a savings account.
Stunning work from Colenso BBDO in New Zealand who I also recently wrote about for their stunning drive safe campaign.
Dave Birss: Are you up for a digital dare?
Ex Ogilvy London Digital Creative Director Dave Birss has just released the above great YouTube game of Chatterbox. If you play the clip above you can play the game live and have to action one of several dare’s such as “Unfriend 3 people on Facebook”, “Delete a contact from your phone”, or even just “Email an old friend you haven’t contacted for a while”. Just give it a go by watching the above clip.
Dave was one of the chaps that helped to start Ogilvy Labs in London, and gave me my first tour around Ogilvy London 2 years ago before I started working with them. He is a fascinating chap and has recently started a digital marketing education company called Additive. You can follow more of what Dave is up to at http://davebirss.wordpress.com/
Infographic: Digital Life Today & Tomorrow
Great Infographic style video from NeoLabels agency in Madrid. The clip shows stats and trends for 2010 and recent predictions for how the digital landscape will look in 2015. Some fab insights.
