Stunning work and cinematography by Wieden + Kennedy for Levis Europe. Although I think the ad is stunning, it is rather unfortunate that it includes an image of a student standing against riot police and talking about living life to the fullest. The ad started airing yesterday in the UK, very very poor timing guys!!
Kulula: UFO
To help celebrate 10 years of Kulula their agency King James has worked out that they have flown 55million KM, the same distance from here to Mars!. They have bought plots of land on Mars and will be giving away 22 of them to lucky winners who suggest the best use of the plots through a facebook app (click here for that). They have also made up a UFO (pictured above) and placed it at Cape Town airport.
Thanks for the plot of land and the Mars Rock Kulula! thanks for always going above and beyond.![]()

Subway: SubBeat Musical
Interesting approach by McCann, London for Subway’s new Smokey Chicken Sensation Sandwich. They produced this pretty crazy country rap video featuring famous chap Yuri Lane with his beatbox harmonica.
TomTom: Knight Rider
As a follow up to last years Star Wars themed ads TomTom have enlisted the help of Kit from Knight Rider to promote their maps update service. Nice.
Reporters without borders: The voice
Wonderful campaign by Reporters without borders. To help draw attention to some of the countries in the world who do not have a free press, they ran print ads with the faces of people like Muammar Gaddafi along with QR codes. They then prompted people to scan the QR code and place their phone over the mouths of the villains, a journalist then explained the crimes against reporters currently happening in that country.

Jell-O Pudding: Twitter Billboard
Crispin Porter + Bogusky recently put up the above interactive billboard in New York for Jell-O puddings. The billboard monitors twitter for smiley and sad emoticons to work out an American average. If there are more smiley faces the billboard face is happy, if there are more sad emoticons, then the billboard shows a sad face and randomly gives coupons for Jell-O to the people posting sad emoticons.
