Virgin Media: Richard Branson Double Speed
Above is the first ad to come out from BBH for Virgin Media after winning its £36 million advertising account. The ad features the rather fast runner Usain Bolt impersonating Sir Richard Branson. Could this be the start of a series?
Vodafone: Yoda Jedi Training
At the end of last year Vodafone UK moved its £47 million account from BBH to RKCR/Y&R London. Above is the first of their new ads for the brand featuring Yoda and Nokia’s new Windows7 phone. If you haven’t tried one of the new Windows7 phones I highly recommend you give it a go, its UX heaven.
Volkswagen: Star Wars Dogs
Deutsch LA have released the above new Volkswagen commercial featuring Dogs dressed up in Star Wars outfits, and barking/singing the films iconic "Imperial March” song. The commercial is a teaser for their upcoming super bowl TV ad that will be aired super bowl night on the 27th January.
The YouTube clip also links to http://web.vw.com/star-wars-invite/ where people are urged to follow/Like/+1 the page, and invite all their friends to a virtual Big Game party for the Super Bowl.
BMW: Interactive Billboards
Local South African tech firm iLogic recently helped advertise the new BMW 1 Series. They developed an Interactive video projection car game controlled via iPads that was projected onto major billboards in high foot traffic areas. People were challenged to race each other, scores and comments were linked to Facebook in real time, creating great chat around the new car and BMW in general.

Toom baumarkt: Gnome Protest
To help promote the gardening section of German hardware store Toom baumarkt, Ogilvy Action, Germany, organised a gnome protest against poorly maintained gardens. The team placed an army of gnomes with plaques in city centres asking people to take better care of their gardens, along with details of the Toom baumarkt hardware store.
Wimpy: Braille Burgers
Wonderful work by South African agency Metropolitan Republic for Wimpy. To publicise their new brail menus being available at all stores, they dropped off burgers at the main blind organisations. The burgers all came with sesame seeds meticulously placed them on the burger buns so that the seeds formed braille.
