Sony: The Xperia Soda Stunt
Crispin Porter + Bogusky recently created the above activation delivering waterproof smartphones – secret agent style. During the opening weekend of James Bond movie Skyfall, Sony Mobile carried out a stunt in true undercover manner to promote the waterproof smartphone Xperia acro S.
Durex: Elections
Durex China recently released the below wonderfully tongue in cheek ad just after the US elections. The copy says “The difference between Obama and Romney”. Very funny!
Brother: Printer Orchestra
To launch Brother’s new range of state-of-the-art printers they produced the above Printer Orchestra clip. In it they get 97 old printers to play Bob Dylan’s "The Times They Are A-Changin” song.
The ad was created by Chris Cairns and collective Isthisgood, and the song recreation was achieved through a rigorous process of soldering, reprogramming, hacking, and re-wiring. Microsoft: Windows 8 Live Tiles
Interesting activation stunt by McCann, Oslo for Windows 8 for one of its key innovations; Live Tiles. They placed a Music branded tile on a street, when people stood on the tile it let down the walls of a fake house, and showed a famous Norwegian band playing inside.
Although this looks incredibly staged, (I can’t imagine anyone taking the chance of dropping a large wall around the general public) it does show the function of the preview tile in an enjoyable way.

Ford: Seat 6
Great work from Ford by Jane & James. In order to outsmart Toyota and offset more emissions that their Prius cars, Ford offered new Ford Fusion buyers a free custom bike designed in partnership with Philippe Starck. Buyers were encouraged to use the bikes for short trips. Each bike came with a custom Ford app that tracked distance rode on the bike and even offered discounted service for the cars if the bikes were ridden often. Would imagine this was a pretty small sample test but would love to see this thinking rolled out globally, would make people healthier, and help save the environment (i.e. #BIWINNING)

Burt’s Bees: Peel off Coupon Billboard
To show the hydrating effects of the all-new Intense Hydration face care line from Burt’s Bees, they imagined the simple "Before & After" demonstration by constructing a billboard using 1300 coupons. As people peeled off the coupons the ad beneath was exposed, so simple yet in my mind so wonderful (it increased sales + was creative, unfortunately we don’t see that combo enough).
