Unilever: Project Sunlight

Fantastic new work by Unilever and Ogilvy. As advertisers we have a huge amount of power, so it’s always great to see that power being put to use for the betterment of the world.
The campaign is called “Project Sunlight”, it’s a global sustainability initiative aiming to help create a better future for our children. To launch it they filmed the below clip asking real expectant parents “Why bring a child into this world”. Brilliant. Find out more at https://www.projectsunlight.com

British Airways: #lookup in Piccadilly Circus

Genius use of digital billboard advertising by British Airways and the team at Ogilvy London.

As British Airways planes fly over the billboard, they trigger advertising creative showing real-time data of that plane, including destination and flight number. The billboard even uses data from a weather feed to get the cloud height ensuring the plane is visible before showing the ad.

Volvo Trucks: The Epic Split feat. Van Damme

Watch Jean-Claude Van Damme make a brilliant come back and carry out his famous split between two reversing Volvo trucks. This ad was set up to demonstrate Volvo’s new Dynamic Steering.
The stunt was filmed for real in Spain on a closed-off landing field at sunrise in one take. Planks were attached to the tops of the wing mirrors, and safety cables were laid underneath him in case of a fall but edited out in post production, Still, an epic stunt and with almost 20million views and a ton of press coverage in just a few day I’m sure Volvo are happy. Congrats to ad agency Forsman Bodenfors and Volvo.

Need For Speed: Ken Block’s Gymkhana SIX

Incredible driver Ken Block has just released his latest driving video entitled Gymkhana SIX. The video is shot as part of his recent signing as an advisor for the Need for Speed game franchise. This time see him race around the ultimate man made course in his Ford Fiesta ST RX43 2013 race car.  Naturally you get to see him drive fast around a moving wrecking ball, slide through narrow openings cut into the sides of shipping containers, and drifting around Lamborghini Aventadors. Enjoy.

John Lewis: The Bear & The Hare

Below is this years great John Lewis Christmas ad. These have become almost a Christmas TV highlight in the UK. Their latest ad shares the story of a hare & a bear and features a custom song by Lilly Allen singing a cover version of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know. The ad was made using an innovative mix of 2D stop motion drawings and shot on a 3D set.
If you like the ad you may also like the additional content made for the campaign here (Apps/Toys etc). Great work again by ad agency Adam&EveDDB, London.

John St: ExFEARiential
