Great print campaign by Jamshop, Adelaide, for Repromed, Australia’s largest infertility clinic. Basically as you can see from the above pic (click to zoom in) they stuck certain pages of men’s mag FHM together with a loose sticky glue. When the page was pulled apart it revealed an ad of a hot girl with the copy “Don’t Waste your Sperm” complete with a website link back to the Repromed fertility clinic site.
Pedigree: We’re for Dogs, Flow Charts
Great campaign by Colenso BBDO, Auckland for Pedigree Omega 3 Dog Food. If you click on any of the images for a larger view you will see each ones shows a flow chart of how a dogs mind works.
Samsung: Shakedown (B2100 test)
An extremely clever yet simple idea from “From Stockholm With Love” and Samsung. In order to demonstrate the toughness of the Samsung B2100 phone, they lined 70 of them up on a glass screen placed high above a concrete floor and a water tank. Anyone could then go to samsungshakedown.com and ring the phones live and see them vibrate across the table and onto the floor. If your phone fell in the tank of water or on the ground when you dialled it ,you won the phone! Even after it had dropped people could still ring the phone to check if it was still ok. Check out the video above to see how it worked out. or click here for a step by step guide to how they pulled it off.

Ogilvy How To Fridays: Rich Mulholland
Ogilvy How To Friday: Rich Mulholland from Ogilvy Cape Town on Vimeo.
This week will mark my first month at Ogilvy Cape Town, so far so great. One of the initiatives I have started is Called How To Fridays.
How To Fridays are an Ogilvy Digital Marketing Academy (ODMA) initiative that aims to help inspire people around online and mobile marketing.
This week my good friend and generally tattooed legend Rich Mulholland popped by to share with us insights on his companies Missing Link and Thunk Lab, as well as why balancing horns can be a hindrance (watch the above video to find out about the horns). Rich is one speaker that always inspires me, if you have some spare time I would highly recommend watching the above talk.
I will update more video’s as we go forward and will sort out the video (This time I had to use my X10 phone as the normal video cameras were not around).
If you would like to come in and speak feel free to drop me a mail at chris.rawlinson@ogilvy.co.za.
Speakers so far have that have been kind enough to share there thoughts are:
Gordon Parkin: Founder of Brandscape, a mobile marketing activation/innovation company, and executive member of the South African Mobile Marketing Association.
Marc and Dave Perel: Founders of Obox Design. Marc and Dave are two of South Africa’s most successful digital entrepreneurs.
Jan Braai (Jan Scannell): World Record holder, and the man behind the Braai4Heritage initiative patroned by Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Braai4Heritage is affectionately known as Braai day and is now seen as South Africa’s answer to St Patricks Day. It celebrates South Africa’s rich culture, and brings people of all race, colour, and creed together.
LG Vacuum Cleaner: Something’s Lurking
The
Possibly the most over the top commercial ever for a vacuum cleaner! The clip is for the new range of LG Kompressor technology vacuums and was created by Y&R/NY and animated by Psyop. I do like the very Inception movie style music set to the ad.
Yahoo: Bus Stop Derby
Fantastic new interactive campaign by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners for Yahoo that brings gaming to bus stops in San Francisco. Together they have created interactive touch screen billboards that allow you to play several games based on new Yahoo mobile apps and have called it “Bus Stop Derby”
Each of the billboards are located in a different neighbourhood, as you play the scores are added up and at the end of 10 weeks the neighbourhood with the highest score will win a huge street party complete with musical guests OK GO!

T-Mobile: Merton The Piano Improv Guy at Gatwick
T-Mobile and Saatchi & Saatchi London are yet again entertaining people arriving back from holidays at the airport , this time guerrilla marketing style at Gatwick. T-Mobile hired Merton, the piano improv guy, to give passengers their own personal welcome home at Gatwick airport with his unique hilarious improv songs.

“You’re a high-flyer in the online world, so we felt it fitting that you should be the first to know that we have appointed a new CEO.
Yes, our new Chicken Excellence Officer is Kagiso Lediga.
He’s onboard to help us promote our new 5Gs offering. Most people have 3Gs, some even claim to have 4Gs, but our 5Gs is the real deal, 5 Great sauces – Lemon & Herb, Mild, Hot, Extra Hot, and Mediterranean.
Kagiso will be watching us like a chicken to make sure that we continue to deliver on our promise of bringing you real 5Gs, all the time.
He’s so important that he features in all our latest adverts, such as this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkRnZWc5xsE
Birds of a feather flock together….. so use that ‘other’ bird (with this #Nandos5Gs, or this #NandosCEO) to tell your friends about our new ‘Mkhulu Boss….

There is also a fantastic one entitled “Dutch Settler”. See below for more entertainment.
