Emart: Shadow QR Codes

QR codes are often used, but rarely effectively or creatively.  Korean agency Cheil Worldwide found a great way to use them for E-mart stores in South Korea. In order to help increase lunchtime sales at the stores they erected installations around the country outside stores that would produce QR code shadows from 12-1pm. Once scanned people could get exclusive discounts and even shop online from their phones. Sales increased by 25%, and E-mart online membership increased by 53%. Great work.
