Carling Black Label Cup: Be The Coach

Yesterday South Africa’s most popular beer brand Carling Black Label launched an innovative campaign called “Be The Coach” where the fans will get to choose the team players for a match between two of South Africa’s largest football teams, The Orlando Pirates, and The Kaizer Chiefs. To pick the squad all users have to do is buy a Black Label and follow the instructions using USSD on their phones to vote for the team members and positions.

The selected teams will play a match on the 30th of July at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. Voting opens on the 1st of June.

Wonderful work from the Carling Team at Ogilvy Cape Town.

why on earth it should be the beer that comes with the competition, I mean I don’t drink alcohol but I love soccer. Can’t it be something else because it seams soccer is suppoting the fact that people must buy beer
