Mercedes have created a series of simple yet clever science experiments to help explain the benefits of some of the features found in their new C-Class.  The features cover cornering assist, AIRMATIC suspension, the gesture based entertainment system, and the new Burmester® sound system. Love the crude, raw, execution, plus love science so may be a little biased here.

The world’s first football pitch made out of shade

The Swedish Cancer Society, Cancerfonden, recently developed The world’s first soccer pitch made out of shade. Basically it’s a covered football pitch that allows sunbeams from 11am to 3 pm, when the sun is strongest. The campaign is aimed to raise awareness about the danger of melanoma. Smart work.

Animal shelter adopts dogs via Tinder dating app

A Montreal animal shelter has is using dating app Tinder to find new companions for its unwanted dogs. Although not the first ad hack of Tinder, it’s a nice and simple way for the Rosie Animal Adoption to get some good PR.

NBC Sports Premier League Short Film feat Jason Sudeikis nears 3m views

NBC Sports has created a 6min film short for their English Premier League coverage that’s been viewed almost 2 million times. The short features comedian Jason Sudeikis acting as a coach recently fired by Tottenham Hotspur,  and now back in the USA failing hard at presenting. Funny stuff.

Toyota create a GPS activated playlist for test drives in Prague

Toyota transformed Prague’s historic street signs into song names to create a drivable custom playlist for the New Toyota Yaris Hybrid. In order to get a place in the new car ad the cast had to drive and sing. Using GPS the songs in the car automatically changed depending on what streets they drove down. Cheesy but different.

Apple show off some great apps in their new iPhone5s ad

Although there is a new iPhone due pretty soon Apple have decided to launch another ad for the iPhone 5s. This one continues on with the same theme as before “you’re more powerful than you think”.

BMW stunt drivers practice drifting in Cape Town for new ad

BMW are calling this new ad a driftmob….see what they did there. Anyway basically BMW managed to some Hollywood stunt drivers, some BMW M235i cars, and the stunt coordinator from The Fast & The Furious, all together in Cape Town. The result is about 90seconds of drifting precision.

Canadian bank creates gift giving Automated Thanking Machines (ATM’s)

Warning, this may make you choke up a bit and cry.
Banks for the most part do very very boring ads that show no emotion, TD Bank in Canada tried something a little different. They created speaking ATM machine’s called Automated Thanking Machines, to reward loyal customers, and surprise a few others that used the machines.

Great optical illusion ad for Ford Park Assist

Clever optical illusion ad from Ford to showcase the ford explorers ‘Park Assist’ functionality.
Just look at the ad below and stare at the black dot in the far right car for 30 seconds, then move your eyes to the parking space and blink. Nice simple idea by BBR Saatchi & Saatchi.

Nike creates really tiny shoe boxes to ship it’s new flexible sneakers

Nike have created an ultra small shoe boxes to innovatively pack their new Nike Free range of very flexible sneakers. The box is one third the size of a regular box.
