Taco bell: It’s all about the Roosevelts ad

Jul 6th, 2009 by admin

Great spot for Taco Bell by Draft FCB. The ad was directed by famous music video man Chris Applebaum, and features a play on words from the title verse of the P Diddy song “All about the Benjamin’s” .

The ad is part of Taco Bells new Why Pay More campaign, aimed at highlighting their new under $1 meals. Franklin D. Roosevelt is featured on the back of American Dimes (worth 10c each).

The team have also created a free iPhone app and downloadable song and ringtones for the campaign available here.

I really liked this ad, it is really well made, clever and funny. It appeals to my British middle class mind stuck in a working class budget. If there was A Taco Bell in the UK I may have popped in to try one.
